Splash Cochin Bantams


Our first splash cochins were acquired from Carol Sanders in 2008.We started out with a pair and a young pullet. We were breeding Splash to Splash, but now we are using our Blue Mottled Rooster "Jeffrey" (from The Cochin Coop) with our Splash hens and a Splash Roo over a Blue hen. In the  fall of 2010 we purchased a nice Show Quality pair from The Cochin Coop in Ohio ("Jack" and "Mae"). We now have their 3 daughters: "Peach", "Pear" and "Orange".  Some will be show quality, others will not. We only sell eggs in the Fall, when they are laying and we are not incubating. We did well at the MD show in Frederick on Nov. 3rd & 4th, 2012 and the Delmarva Show this March. Update: We bought a wonderful blue pullet from Jamie Matts. Her name is "Amie". We are using a nice Splash rooster on her, a gorgeous boy named "Cheech" from The Cochin Coop. We will have started birds for sale in late summer (pick up) or for shipping in Sept.
