SUPERCREST Experiment (ducks)
We started this interesting experiment in summer 2009. We are breeding a crested white drake with a huge crest to 2 crested swedish hens, 1 blue and 1 light brown (chocolate). This is an attempt to create colorful ducks with enormous crests. We hatched out 2 of these this past summer but they did not survive. One died 30 min. after hatching, the other one lived for 2 weeks. Our ultimate goal is to hatch out some just like them that will survive a normal lifespan. We will be offering ducklings from this mating for sale (any we are not keeping). Price will vary by crest size. We will have no pure swedish ducks. Thanks for looking.
